Does Ndamukong Suh Have A Wife or Girlfriend and What Is His Net Worth?

Ndamukong Suh, the American football player, was born on January 6, 1987, in Portland, Oregon, where he attended Grant High School. He played football, basketball, and participated in track and field events and excelled greatly in all three sports. Suh played as a two-way lineman for the school’s football team and as a junior, he earned first-team All-PIL honors on both offense and defense in addition to being an honorable-mention All-state pick.

His playing abilities became even far better in his senior year and as a result of his productivity, he earned Parade magazine high school All-America honors, Portland Interscholastic League Defensive Player of the Year (2004) and a Class 4A first-team all-state selection.

Following a very impressive high school record, Rivals.com considered Suh a four-star recruit and the sixth defensive tackle in the United States. Consequently, he was sought after by many colleges but after some personal considerations, on January 20, 2005, he chose the University of Nebraska–Lincoln where he would play for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. During his senior year with the team, he won numerous awards and recognition, becoming one of the most decorated players in the history of football in the college.

He was drafted by the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL) as second overall in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Even though Ndamukong Suh is said to be one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL, he has had many issues since joining the league. His aggressive style of play has earned him criticisms from other players and also the NFL. He was fined a total of $255, 375 by the NFL in 2014 as a result of seven violations and he also missed two games due to suspension. The suspension cost him an additional $165, 294 from his pay.

A poll of his colleagues carried out by the Sporting News revealed that Suh is “the dirtiest player” in the NFL. In 2012, a Forbes-publicized Nielsen report also showed that he was the NFL’s “Least-Liked Player”.

The negatives notwithstanding, the young man was in 2015 named the 24th best player in the NFL and the sixth highest ranked defensive player. He has won very many awards and accolades, including the Defensive Rookie of the Year. He was selected to 4 Pro Bowls in his first five seasons, has been named an All-Pro 6 times, made it 4 times to the All-Pro First team and 2 times to the All-Pro Second team.

On March 11, 2015, Ndamukong Suh signed a six-year deal with the Miami Dolphins, worth $114 million, including $60 million guaranteed. This made him the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history. Sadly, he was released after three seasons after he committed two rough penalties that dragged the team down. He now plays for the Los Angeles Rams.

On March 26, 2018, he agreed to a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Rams worth $14 million. Although he had more lucrative offers Suh choose to go for less money in order to join Los Angeles’s revamped defense.

Suh’s parents met in Portland, Oregon, when his dad was admitted to a Portland trade school. They later tied the knot there in 1982.

He doesn’t have a wife but has a long-term girlfriend

Suh’s exceptional playing style has put him on the spotlight for many years but while everything about his professional career is known, fans have been kept in the dark with regards to his love life. The star player decided to keep his relationships away from the public for reasons best known to him. Although we know he has been in a handful of relationships, he is still single and probably searching.

With the ever-shining torch of the media on Suh, it was discovered that he is currently dating a beautiful lady named Katya Leick. She is a former basketball player (power forward) for the Kansas State University basketball team and a news reporter for KNST.

In October 2018, Katya Leick was on the sidelines for Packers vs Rams football game and she made it clear that there was something special between her and the football player as she crested “Suh’s Girl” on the back of her jersey shirt.

According to reports, the duo met in Miami while Suh was still playing for the Dolphins and has been together for more than one year now.
